COOKIE POLICY

Last modified: December 11, 2024

Kohler Co. and its subsidiaries (“Kohler,” “we,” “us,” “our”) use “cookies” and other similar technologies(collectively), including third-party tracking technologies, on Kohler websites, apps, email communications, ads, and online services that link to this Cookie Notice (collectively, “Sites”).

Cookies help us enhance your experience when using the Sites. They also help us understand how people use our Sites, such as which pages are the most popular, so that we can better serve our users.

To make our Sites work properly, and to provide the most relevant products and services to visitors to the site, we place small data files called cookies and other similar technologies (such as web beacons, action tags, local shared objects (Flash cookies) and single pixel gifs) on your device. We also use cookies to personalize ads, to provide social media features and to analyze our traffic. This Cookie Notice provides you with information about cookies and other similar technologies and how to control them.

WHAT IS A COOKIE?

A cookie is a small text file (or code) that is placed on your computer or mobile device by websites you visit. Cookies are then sent back to the originating website on each subsequent visit, or to another website that recognizes that cookie, to create a record of the user's online activity. Because you visited the website, cookies on this site may be delivered in a first party (set by the Kohler website) or third-party (set by another website) context and may also be set in association with emails you receive from us.

COOKIE CATEGORIES USED ON THIS SITE:

Category 1: strictly necessary cookies

These cookies are necessary for the website to function and cannot be switched off in our systems. They are usually only set in response to actions made by you which amount to a request for services, such as setting your privacy preferences, logging in or filling in forms. You can set your browser to block or alert you about these cookies, but some parts of the site will not work properly. These cookies do not store any personally identifiable information.

Category 2: performance cookies

These cookies allow us to count visits and traffic sources so we can measure and improve the performance of our site. They help us to know which pages are the most and least popular and see how visitors move around the site. All information these cookies collect is aggregated and therefore anonymous. If you do not allow these cookies we will not know when you have visited our site and will not be able to improve its performance for you.

Category 3: functionality cookies

These cookies enable the website to provide enhanced functionality and personalization. They may be set by us or by third party providers whose services we have added to our pages. If you do not allow these cookies then some or all of these services may not function properly.

Category 4: targeting cookies or advertising cookies

These cookies may be set through our site by our advertising partners. They may be used by those companies to build a profile of your interests and show you relevant adverts on other sites. They do not store directly personal information but are based on uniquely identifying your browser and internet device. If you do not allow these cookies, you will experience less targeted advertising.

OTHER SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES

In addition to the cookies described in this Cookie Notice, we may use any or all of the following similar technologies on our Sites and in our emails:

Pixel tags:

A pixel tag is a single pixel, transparent GIF image with a unique identifier that can recognize certain types of data on your device (similar to how cookies do). They are used to operate and improve the Site and our email practices, including to help deliver cookies, count visits and understand usage and email campaign effectiveness.

For example, we may put pixel tags on emails to understand how you interact with that email – such as whether you opened the email, whether you forwarded it, whether you clicked on a link in the email that directed you to our Site etc. – these pixels may collect the time, location and operating system of the device you use to read the email.

Session replay technologies:

We may use session-replay technologies that employ software code to record users' interactions with our Sites in a manner that allows us to watch video replays of those user sessions. The replays include users' clicks, mobile app touches, mouse movements, scrolls and keystrokes/key touches during those sessions. [These replays help us diagnose usability problems and identify areas for improvement. You can learn more about Quantum Metrics at Privacy Policy | Quantum Metric or HotJar Hotjar - Privacy Policy.

Other similar technologies:

We may also use other tracking technologies, such as mobile advertising IDs and tags, HTML5 local storage / local shared objects (which store relevant data locally on your device), for similar purposes as described in this Cookie Notice.

SESSION AND PERSISTENT COOKIES

Our Sites uses two types of first-party cookies. Session cookies are only stored in the cookie file while you are using our Sites. Persistent cookies are stored for a specific time, but each cookie may have a different lifespan. Third parties may also use session and persistent cookies mainly for analytic and advertising purposes. Our Sites' use of cookies does not allow our Sites to collect any personal information about you or your device.

Further information regarding the cookies used on our Site can be found in the automatic banner popup at the footer of the page. If the banner does not automatically pop-up, please click the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" button or the "Cookies Settings" button (wording may change dependent on the site being visited) for the One Trust Cookie Preference center to display.

The non-essential cookies used on our Sites can be enabled or disabled by managing your preferences through the cookie banner, or by following instructions noted above.

Alternatively, you can disable the cookies through your browser. To disable cookies through your browser, follow the instructions usually located within the “Help,” “Tools” or “Edit” menus in your browser. Please note that disabling a cookie or category of cookies does not delete the cookie from your browser unless manually completed through your browser function.

For more information about cookies, including about the cookies have been set on your device and how to manage and delete them, visit www.allaboutcookies.org. Also, to learn more about targeting and advertising cookies and your choices more widely, you can go to the Network Advertising Initiative, the Digital Advertising Alliance's Consumer Choice, or if you are in Europe, Your Online Choices.

Finally, if you do not accept certain non-essential cookies and similar technologies, you may experience some inconvenience in your use of our Sites.
